Diatomaceous earth
Hudson Diatomaceous Earth Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hudson Resources Limited, holds four Diatomaceous Earth mining leases located in the Perth Basin, Western Australia:

Badgingarra: M70/129 and M70/361;

Dongara: M70/842;

Drak: M70/38.
These mining leases collectively cover a total of 217 ha.
The Diatomite deposits occupy scattered, shallow ephremel lake depressions. The thickness of the deposits is between 2 to 4 metres and individual deposits varying in size from 4000 tonnes up to 550,000 tonnes.
Historically, the prospective deposits have been explored and tested by Hudson Resources (formerly known as Mallina Holdings Limited), BHP Ltd and Jones-Manville International Corporation (a Diatomite producer in the USA.) Field exploration, laboratory testing and ore reserve calculations have been completed by these companies.
Ongoing trials for the Badgingarra Diatomaceous Earth 20,000 tonnes stockpile potential in horticulture, agriculture, insecticide, stockfeed supplements and mine rehabilitation applications are ongoing.
Samples taken from our Diatomaceous Earth mine site have been historically analysed, tested and compared with commercially available standard products. These results show that samples, as is, would meet filter specifications, including a filter grade product prepared by the Western Australian Government Chemical Laboratories from a a bulk sample satisfactorily passing industrial trials. Further potential for a range of filler products if the crude material is processed by calcining.
