Lake Nerramyne, Western Australia

Lake Nerramyne is located on the margins of the Yilgarn Craton. The Draling Fault passes a few kilometres west of the Lake Nerramyne Attapulgite clay project.

The attapulgite deposit at Lake Nerramyne occurs along the eastern margin of the playa, extending beneath dune, alluvial and silcrete surface induration, which are only a few metres thick.

Loose bulk density

Attapulgite clay extracted from the Lake Nerramyne Project deposit has a low density. The loose bulk density is determined with crushed and graded product, more suited to practical measurement than the actual mineral density.
